Qari, a Hip-Hop artist native to Chicago, is known for his free-form, introspective lyricism. He describes himself as an observer first, and an artist second. With subject matter ranging from spiritual curiosity to lewd sarcasm, Qari weaves interpretive motifs through melody and creative impression. He’s captivated audiences at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash, SXSW, A3C, and North Coast Festival— and basically, every venue in Chicago.
He’s opened for Post Malone, Wu-Tang Clan, and even a holographic Chief Keef (yes, really). Once a member of the hip hop trio Hurt Everybody, Qari’s music has afforded him collabs with the likes of Chance the Rapper, Mick Jenkins, Saba, and Twista.
In the brand world, Qari’s a jack-of-all-trades, collaborating with Lyrical Lemonade, Lululemon (for those introspective yoga sessions), Google, and Red Bull. He’s been featured in the New York Times, Rolling Stone, Chicago Tribune, and Chicago Reader, and even Paramount Plus’ documentary As We Speak: Rap Music on Trial.
